- How much does therapy cost in Oakville?
- Session fees vary by therapist and session type. Please contact us for current rates. Many extended health insurance plans in Ontario cover sessions with Registered Psychotherapists (RP) and Registered Social Workers (RSW).
- Is therapy covered by OHIP?
- Psychotherapy is not covered by OHIP. However, most extended health insurance plans through employers cover sessions with Registered Psychotherapists and Registered Social Workers. We recommend checking with your insurance provider.
- Do you offer virtual therapy?
- Yes. We offer virtual therapy sessions to clients anywhere in Ontario. Virtual sessions are conducted via a secure, PHIPA-compliant video platform.
- How do I know which therapist is right for me?
- We offer a free consultation to help match you with the right therapist. Fill out our contact form and we will connect you with a therapist who specializes in your area of concern.
- What is the difference between a psychotherapist and a psychologist?
- A Registered Psychotherapist (RP) is trained in psychotherapy and is regulated by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. A psychologist holds a doctoral degree and can provide psychological assessments and diagnoses. Both can provide therapy.
- How often should I attend therapy sessions?
- Most clients start with weekly sessions and may transition to biweekly as they progress. Your therapist will work with you to determine the right frequency based on your goals and needs.
- What is your cancellation policy?
- We require 24 hours notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee. We understand that life happens and will work with you on a case-by-case basis.
